The plant VULCANO 270-100 was developed by Officine Costarelli as a energy-saving alternative to the densifier. 

The plant processes the material, which previously was cleaned and dried in a washing-plant, and feeds it in hot-viscous condition directly to the Extruder. The VULCANO is a variant of the Extruder-Principle with a special designed screw, which melts the material without use of external heat. Only the duct to the Extruder is heated to keep the material hot-viscous. The production of the VULCANO is about 1000 kg/h (depending of material) with an installed E-Motor capacity of 75 kW. The production is designed to match Extruders like the Costarelli TR 160.
