Costarelli has taken the decision to concentrate on the production of plants of high capacity. The plants are specially suited for the processing of washed mixed post consumer plastics.
The technology is based on the longstanding experience of the FALZONI extruders. The screw diameters vary from 130 to 180 mm. They use specially designed screws to maximize the plastification. Additionally an efficient degassing system produces a completely homogeneous regranulate. The motor capacity varies from 250 to 400 kW. Forced-feeding or the conventional gravity feeding can be used for material feed. The newly developed system VULCANO can be used to melt the washed and dried material and to feed it directly to the extruder, thus achieving large energy savings.
